I'm going to teach you the E Minor harmonic scale today. The notes of the scale are E, F sharp, G, A, B, C, D sharp, and E. Now let's take a look at the fingering for the scale.
The right hand starts on the E with thumb. When your third finger hits the G, cross your thumb under to the A. Now use all five fingers, ending the scale with the E with your pinky. On the way back down, cross your third finger over when your thumb gets back to the A and finish the scale.
The left thumb uses the pinky to hit the E. From there work up using all five fingers until your thumb hits the B. Cross over with your third finger to hit the C and finish out the scale. Your second finger will be on the E. On the way back down, cross your thumb under the third finger when it gets back to the C and finish the scale.
Next, you can practice the E Major Piano Scale .
